The Human Face of Institutional Incompetence

There are many people who are going to get it in the neck in the coming years here in Ireland, in particular the vulnerable.  The politicians (of all parties), civil service and other bureaucrats are just going to tell us it is for “the greater good” and we have to put up with it. Plenty of platitudes will be uttered and what will happen or change? Unfortunately not a lot … or perhaps not.

There is a growing sense of needing to change how we do things here. The recent student protests, attacks on various ministers and their constituency offices reflect this.
