When natural disasters occur in conjunction with human error or incompetence (depending on your perceptive) then you often have a major problem. Much of the flooding in Ballsbridge could have been prevented had it not been for the human factor. Will any public official be held accountable?  I would not hold my breath in anticipation.</p>
<p>This is some footage I took as I left the house, filming was the last thing on my mind.</p>

<p>On the cusp of the Celtic Tiger the well established and respected Irish music magazine Hotpress ventured into the world of entertainment and education. They created the Hotpress Hall of Fame. An interactive experience taking the visitor through the history of Irish music.</p>
<p>Unfortunately the Hall of Fame was short lived but the music venue lives on as The Academy.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Obama has been and gone, his visit cut short by the <a title="Icelandic ash cloud" href="http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-13513981" target="_blank">Icelandic ash cloud</a>. I did not get into the city center to see him give his speech but I did manage to take some bad photos of “The Beast” passing by with Barack and Michelle in it.</p>
<p>This photo was taken on their way to the American embassy before it got <a title="the beast gets stuck" href="http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/ireland/2011/0524/1224297638336.html" target="_blank">stuck on the exit ramp</a> when leaving.</p>
