Little Black Riding Hood

little black riding hood

My own spin on the Brothers Grimm classic. I don’t think it needs much in the way of explication as to the story line or which fairy tale it might be reminiscent of.

Offset 2012

Offset 2012 has been as gone for another year. Another great gathering of speakers and always good to catch up with old friends and make some new ones.

By chance I was lucky enough to have a quick chat with Shepard Fairey who gave me some stickers. Photos below, I will be putting them to good use …

There were many other great speakers and interesting projects. One in paticular that caught my eye was a project by designer Stephen Roch called the Radio Post. A well written and beautifully produced magazine celebrating all things analogue. Each issue is of a limited run and is available free if you send him a postcard. Well worth the price of a stamp.

No doubt there will be videos and pictures of Offset 2012 online and on the official Offset site in the very near future. I had a quick look on instagram last night and there are pages of them, #offset2012.

The Day in the Life of a Bench

The bench beside Baggot Street Bridge gets many and varied visitors. This film captures some of the people that passed by and others that used the bench. Joggers, tourists, dog walkers, couples out for a stroll, smokers, children and people just taking some time out all take a rest on the bench.

Music by kind permission of Cormac Phelan. Listen to more of his music at bandcamp.com

Filmed using time-lapse on June 21st 2010, the longest day of the year.

The original video had to be removed as there were some objections from a couple at the start on privacy grounds.  I was left with a stark choice of either taking it down myself or letting YouTube take it down. Unfortunately YouTube don’t have the facility like Vimeo where you can replace the video. All the same over 7,000 views in less than 24 hrs is not to bad, even if I had to take it down. The re-edit does not take away too much from the over all video.
